The work of Nidderdale National Landscape is guided by our Joint Advisory Committee (JAC). This committee is a partnership organisation made up of elected representatives from local authorities and parish councils, as well as representatives from various special interest groups, including landowners, land managers, conservationists, and community organizations.

The JAC meets three times a year to provide advice on how best to achieve our objectives. Their role is crucial in ensuring that the unique character and qualities of Nidderdale are protected and enhanced for everyone to enjoy. They help us address planning issues, develop projects, and promote sustainable practices across the landscape.

By working together, the JAC helps us maintain a balanced approach to conservation and community needs, ensuring that Nidderdale remains a vibrant and thriving area of outstanding natural beauty.
