The Sustainable Farming Incentive
The Sustainable Farming Incentive
Graham Megson

The Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) is designed to support farmers and land managers in adopting sustainable practices that protect and enhance the environment while maintaining food production and farm productivity.

The scheme works in three key areas:

  • Animal Health and Welfare: Improve the well-being of livestock.
  • Optimised Input Use: Efficiently manage resources like fertilisers and pesticides.
  • Natural Resource Management: Enhance soil health, biodiversity, water quality, air quality, and carbon sequestration.

The SFI expanded offer is currently closed for new applications.
